"I am 43 years old, and for most of my life, I’ve battled with body dysmorphia and deep self-consciousness. In high school, I had zero boyfriends and only one girlfriend—most people judged me by how I looked and assumed I was stuck up without ever getting to know me. For the next 17 years, I was in a loveless marriage, constantly begging for the attention of a husband who never truly saw me. I have three beautiful children, but my own journey of self-love has been long and painful. At 265 pounds, I’ve spent years hiding parts of myself—so much so that I hadn’t worn a two-piece bathing suit since I was four years old… until now, thanks to Steven Lacy Swimwear. The truth is, I’m blunt, upfront, and genuine—and so much more beautiful on the inside. Every day, I continue healing, learning to see my worth and embracing the beauty that’s always been there.
