Meet the Founder:

From a young age, Lacy shared a deep love for swimwear with her grandmother — a passion that would one day spark a greater purpose. But like many women, her personal journey took twists and turns. After becoming a wife and mother of three, her sense of self slowly began to fade. Between the demands of motherhood and the pressures of modern life, her confidence fluctuated along with her weight, and she no longer felt like the woman she once knew.

After spending 15 years climbing the corporate ladder — most recently as the Director of Insurance Operations for a billion-dollar corporation — she realized she wasn’t chasing her dream at all. She was chasing someone else’s definition of success. And it wasn’t working.

Behind the scenes, she had been quietly building a different future. She poured tens of thousands of dollars of personal savings into developing a swimwear line for moms, powered by her desire to help women feel confident in every stage of motherhood. She went through two manufacturers, traveled to New York in search of the right fit, and faced setback after setback — but never lost focus.

Giving up was never an option.

This wasn’t her first leap of faith. Over the years, she had built six businesses from the ground up — one of which generated income for nearly a decade. She was no stranger to hustle, often working two to three jobs at a time just to fund her next dream. But this time was different. This time, she was all in.

In May of 2025, she took the ultimate leap — walking away from her corporate career to launch her debut swimwear line: Lake Life, a collection designed to celebrate every version of motherhood.

Her definition of success has never been tied to status or numbers. Instead, it’s about helping women — those who want to be moms, are going to be moms, are moms, or are older moms — love the skin they’re in. At every stage of life.

What frustrates Lacy most about the $30 billion swimwear industry is how easy it is to find size 00–6 — and how hard it is to find anything designed for mid-sized women. Even more frustrating? The less fabric there is, the higher the price tag. When did full coverage become unfashionable? When did we decide that moms should have to worry about their boobs falling out just to enjoy time in the sun?

This line was born out of the belief that moms deserve better — better fit, better coverage, better confidence. Swimwear should move with you, not against you. Whether you're chasing toddlers on the beach or swimming with your teenagers, you deserve to feel supported, secure, and stylish.

This isn’t just a brand — it’s a movement. One that says women don’t have to choose between motherhood and confidence. They can have both.

With faith as her foundation and grit in her DNA, she’s on a mission to create swimwear that empowers women to show up fully, confidently, and unapologetically as themselves.

Thus- STEVEN LACY SWIMWEAR was born in 2023.
